What a long day! My mom and I were at the Salt Lake airport at 7:30 AM and got into Tampa Florida at about 7:00 that night. We had a layover in Denver, Colorado and literally had to go from one end of the airport to the other. Literally. And that is a HUGE airport!
Upon arriving in Tampa, we took an hour shuttle ride out to our hotel on Sand Key Beach, in Clearwater. By the time we got there and found my sister, we were all starving! So we grabbed a quick bite to eat in one of the hotel restaurants. Then we headed outside to watch the lightning storm that followed us all the way from Utah. Very cool! The lightning was magnificent! I'm pretty sure it hit the beach and water a few times, at least it looked that way.
I was able to snap one shot with my camera...which is better than I can say for my sister and her fancy camera! Go Sony Cyber-shot!
After the lightning settled down and the rain stopped, we headed outside once again for a quick sand castle building extravaganza! I literally reverted back into a five year old child and borrowed a shovel and bucket from some kids and began digging. The sand was perfect, wet enough to stick together but not soaked, and oh so soft!

We also had to snap a few shots of us girls with the palm trees! Who could resist?!

My Mom and I look pretty good for having a twelve hour traveling day!

Then it was straight up to the hotel to catch some much needed Z's. Too bad my sister is crazy and stayed up until 2 o'clock AM watching the cable she doesn't have at home! Silly Jenny.
