Recliners, Oreos, dog-bones, and shoes!

I know I've been slacking on the blogging lately, but I've been horribly sick the last 3 and 1/2 weeks. I have chronic sinusitis and well, lets just say the last month has been getting the better of me. I've been to the doctor 3 times, my first round of treatment with a nasal steroid spray didn't work, and neither did my second round of treatment with antibiotics. So now I'm on my third round of treatment with a stronger antibiotic, and things seem to be getting better...finally! However, the bad news is that since my sinus problems are recurring, most likely I will be facing it again within the next four to six weeks, which is why my doc referred me to an ear, nose, and throat specialist. Wish me luck!
On another note, I've also been very busy the last month with school and work. I started working at my old job as a preschool teacher again at First Steps Daycare again in February. I love it! The little kids are so much fun to play with all day! And it's a bonus that my adorable little niece Pearl is there and I get to see her everyday!
This is me and my little friend Hannah! She's so cute!

Since Nick had to work on Valentines day, we celebrated the day before. I cooked Nick lasagna, with his help of course, and it was delicious! I think it could have used a little more sauce, but it turned out pretty good. Then afterwards our upstairs neighbors (Jared and Tiffany) came down for a little Wii boxing tournament!

For my Dad's birthday my Mom got him some new recliners, and since they didn't have any room for the old ones, they gave them to Nick and I! We love them! They are so comfortable, and while they are quite large, I think they fit pretty well in our tiny basement apartment!

Okay, so I know all you girls out there can relate to this...when I get to "that time of the month" all I crave is OREO'S. That's right, that delicious sugary cream smashed between two delicious chocolate cookies! YUM, YUM! I think this month I literally kept the Oreo company in business because I devoured not one, not two, but FIVE boxes of Oreo's! That's right, 5. Those five boxes went along great with the 7 boxes of kleenex that I've used!
Isn't this the most delicious looking box of Oreo's you've ever seen!?

Nick and I also got new shoes last week! Yay for new shoes! He actually got two pairs to my one, but he's wearing one pair today, so I can't take a picture of them. They are the same as my white Samba's, only black. Which is funny, because I also have the black pair...mine are like 3 years old though!

Oh, and thanks Emily and Doug for the dog-bone you got Juno for Christmas. She finally has decided that it was worth the effort of tearing into and has been carrying it around non-stop all week! She carries it upstairs, outside, in the living room, the bedroom, and has even jumped into bed with it a few times. Don't worry, I throw it out as soon as she gets up there!

Those are great pictures! Yes, the Oreos look delicious...thinking I may have to make a run to the store. How do you get away with eating 7 boxes of them though and stay so skinny?
